There is something quietly remarkable about the prickly pear. It asks very little of the landscape, yet flourishes in places shaped by relentless sun and little rain. Over time, I've come to admire that quiet resilience.
Terracotta Hush is less about the cactus itself and more about what it represents—endurance, simplicity and beauty found in unexpected places. Every sculptural form was built slowly by hand, allowing the painting to take on a presence that feels almost like something discovered rather than painted.
The warm terracotta background recalls evenings when the landscape seems to glow from within, while the layered forms create a quiet conversation between light, shadow and space. Framed in solid oak, the work brings a sense of calm, warmth and permanence to an interior.
