The Story Behind the Work

Permission to Play was created live on stage during my TEDx talk, One Small Yes, where I spoke about the power of creativity to move us beyond certainty and into curiosity, courage and play.

After the talk, fellow TEDx speaker and actor Denim Richards, best known for playing Colby Mayfield in Yellowstone, walked over to the painting, smiled and said, “I want that piece.” It now forms part of his personal collection.
