Clay & Sand is an exploration of colour, gesture and materiality. Earthy washes of clay, stone and softened blush are interrupted by deep charcoal forms, flashes of blue and ochre, and sculptural passages of paint.
Loose marks move between strength and softness, creating a layered composition that feels spontaneous yet grounded — capturing the shifting relationship between light, colour and form.
Will it suit my space?
This work measures 60 × 90 cm. As a guide, a piece should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall width above a couch or console. Tape the outline on your wall with masking tape to feel the scale — and if you'd like help, send Hayley a photo of your space and she'll gladly advise.
